Daggers earn second Easter point

DAGENHAM earned their second point of the Easter weekend with a hard-fought goalless draw at basment boys Wrexham this afternoon.

The hosts had the better of the match and the chances.

Drewe Broughton had three good chances inside 20 minutes - first his his effort was cleared off the goal line by Ross Smith, and then he saw two quick-fire headers saved by Dagger keeper Tony Roberts.

Roberts was again in action after the break, making another fine save to deny Sam Aiston, while Michael Proctor struck the woodwork from close range.

Broughton then crashed a late header against the crossbar as Daggers held on.

Dag & Red: Roberts, Smith, Uddin, Arber, Huke, Gain, Southam, Rainford, Griffiths, Strevens (Moore 83), Benson. Unused susb: Hogan, Sloma, Boardman, Taiwo.
