COMMUNITIES in Epping Forest, Harlow and East Hertfordshire are digesting new Government plans to build around 15,000 new homes in their districts by 2021.
Proposals for the ambitious regeneration scheme of the M11 Corridor were part of the revised East of England Plan published today (May 12).
Bosses at the three councils in the districts are picking through the 120-page report prior to releasing statements tomorrow morning.
But a spokesman for the Stop Harlow North campaign group wasted no time in condemning the plans as "fundamentally flawed, unnecessary, unsustainable and undemocratic."
Communities Minister Parmjit Dhanda says the scheme will "deliver affordable housing, better transport networks, infrastructure and jobs growth."

Yes, but there will be inevitable spillover. Most new flats / houses that are built in Essex or Gt. London are housing a minium of 30% immigrants, who have been helped with housing by a local authority or a housing agency. Often, this support is not available to our young people. It is not fair. An end to this blatant discrimination against the indegenous British and Irish.

Spillover as in that the area will attract immigrants. These will naturally move about and try and get housing in Epping. It has happened elsewhere. We are still importing immigrants at the bucket load, indeed it is the UKs biggest industry nowadays! Where is Enoch Powell when you need him.
